About The Bug Clinic
The company was founded by Steven Weiss as a division of
Environmental Chemical Co., Inc., a wholesaler of pest control, lawn care and tree care
supplies. The company was incorporated into its current structure on February 1,
1981.
The current manager, Barry Eldridge (aka drbugclinic), joined
the company on November 16, 1981 as a sales representative. Over the
years, Barry assumed additional responsibilities progressing to sales manager
and then manager of the company. With the passing of Steven Weiss on November 5,
1997 and a subsequent corporate buyout, Barry Eldridge became CEO and
President of Environmental Chemical Co., Inc. as of December 30, 1999.
Our small business is located in Spring Valley, New York, which
is 35 miles northwest of New York City and about 5 miles north of Bergen County, New
Jersey.
We have always tried to provide the best information we can for
our customers. We "sell" our information with our products. Though
you can purchase similar products at supermarkets, hardware stores, home centers and other
stores, it is unlikely that anyone in those stores understands the products and can
instruct an individual in their proper use.
It is our goal to provide our customers with the products they
need to do the job right the first time. We want to be sure that they understand how
to use our products, and we will provide information and labels where necessary, to that
end.
